The tour was excellent BUT VIATOR rated TERRIBLY in letting us know WHERE we would need to join this tour.
Not specific enough VIATOR.

We had a truly fantastic time. Julie our guide was very pleasant and imformative. All the outlets we visited were great. The lunch that was provided after the tour was very tasty and plentiful. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed this tour. I would highly recommend it to everyone

I highly recommend this. It is the best thing I did on my trip. It was informative and the guide was excellent, there were great stops and surprises along the way, the lunch at the end was a perfect ending. They know how to do it. Perfect thing to do in Bordeaux.

Guide was excellent and extremely pleasant and informative. She gave us a brief history of Bordeaux while we walked and provided excellent commentary throughout.

Very informative, excellent overview of Bordeaux which we wouldn't have discovered on our own. Knowledgable tour guide, nice little tastings along the way finishing with a lovely, substantial lunch and wine. Very worthwhile with a small group and highly recommended.

I loved our class! Our "teacher" was very informative about French wines which really allowed us to make informed decisions when driving the countryside on our own. And the cheese cellar was a-mazing! I didn't want to leave!

This was an incredible tour if you like cheese and wine!!!

Very professional guide. She is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the history, geography and wines of Bordeaux. The wine tasting session is very well-explained. We blind-tasted three red wines from Bordeaux. The cheese cellar is located at the basement of the restaurant (5min walk from Tourist office). Lots of selections. Great guide, great tour.

The Wine and Cheese Introduction was the best I have ever had, and I have done quite a few of these. I am not exactly a novice to wine but I wanted to learn more about Bordeaux wines and that I did. In fact Brigitte conducted such a fabulous "class" that I commented to her that this was the most comprehensive and informative wine tasting I have ever done. Brigitte herself is super knowledgeable of her region and its wines and imparted this information to us in such a manner that was easy to understand and at the same time exciting.

The wine shop where she held the class was filled with a wonderful selection of regional wines and had a fabulous cheese room in the basement. We got to try as many of the cheeses as we wanted to; I fell in love with one of the cheeses and asked the owner where I could get it and he was so gracious; he actually went to the cheese room and cut a piece of the cheese and gave it to me. This event was definitely great value for money and exceeded my expectations on every level.

I enjoyed my time in Bordeaux and I have already made plans to return in the Spring.

What a wonderful hostess we had for our Wine and Cheese tasting. There was a good balance of French and English language used and we did not feel excluded! A perfect introduction to the wines of Bordeaux, but we would have liked more information about the cheeses. We loved tasting as many as possible of the cheeses but did not recognise all of them. An educational and fun experience and extremely good value for money. Thank you!

We loved our tour guide, Cristal sp?. She took us to the obligatory statues and squares, but also gave us great insight into modern day Bordeaux. You could ask her anything, and she'd gladly give it a go. Her English was spot on and she was indulgent with our poor French. She took us to a cheese shop, a diner, and a chocolate factory that was to die for. Wonderful lecture on chocolate making by a 4th year apprentice. Marvelous! Do it and you won't regret it.

The guide was good in explaining the art of wine tasting and the different wines in the Bordeaux region. The cheese cellar is amazing and the choice of cheeses simply out of this world!!

Recensione di: Julie M , Australia, giugno 2010

The cheese at this tour is amazing, you are given access to a cheese cellar and can help yourself. Three glasses of wine and a really good presentation on how to taste french wines. You get to try 3 wines from all over Bordeaux.

Notre guide était très agréable. La chocolaterie était mieux que bien et on y a rencontré des vrais passionnés. Pour la boulangerie, les produits sont de qualités ainsi que la fromagerie mais pas de passion. Pour le repas du midi rien de particulier.

The best of the three premises we visited was the Chocolate maker as here we were taken into his workshop and saw chocolates being made. The visit to the bakery consisted in sitting in the entrance to the baker's shop and talking to him about his work but no visit to where the bread was being prepared. The visit to the cheese shop was the least interesting as all that happened was that we sampled three cheeses. The lunch afterwards was satisfactory but only half a glass of wine each!! The two guides who led us around all morning were pretty amateurish.
