It's a long walk and I had the chance to share with the other people who took the tour.

John was a great guide, thoughtful and informative.

Tour guide was excellent.

Recensione di: Elizabeth R , settembre 2016

John, our tour guide, was outstanding!!! He had tons of details, facts and stories to share with us. It was a great experience. I would take another tour with John anytime!

Recensione di: Joan P , settembre 2016

Great guided tour of the Howth cliffs! John was our guide and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend having a good meal prior to going and packing a snack also water for the hike as it takes a little while to get to the Summit where you have lunch not included in price at the Summit Pub. It's not a hard hike but a hike nevertheless, the hike down was more challenging as you are going through the forest, rocks, and downhill. Lots of time for taking pictures too. And you do get time to explore Howth after as your train ticket is good for that day.

Excellent guide and tour content. Description of tour does not do it justice! From the train journey, meeting fellow walkers from all over the world, to the walk itself with breathtaking scenery peppered with charming and funny anecdotes, it was a great day out! Left to wander Howth at end was an added bonus with the harbour and restaurants to explore. Much needed after a very frenetic Dublin!

Howth is a really small village, with a nice food market where to grab something to eat after the walk.
You will ascend the clifs and walk across the forest. Look out for some leprechauns!
Clara, our guide was really nice and helpful explaining not only historical facts but actuals.
If you enjoy an easy walk 10km o so this is your tour.

Our Howth Day trip from Dublin was EXCELLENT!!! There is quite a bit of walking involved, but it is well work it. The views are spectacular, and John our guide was extremely informative.

I think this tour highlights one the most scenic places I've ever visited in my life. W-O-R-T-H!

Recensione di: Patrick O , giugno 2016

Our guide John was fabulous! Very knowledgable and answered any questions we had. Howth is a beautiful place! I highly recommend this trip but be prepared to hike all day. Can and #39;t wait to go back. Thanks John!

For a horrible rainy and cold day, the trip was pretty good. Tour guide had great stories to tell

Recensione di: Pete , novembre 2016

Lot of walking, but well worth it.

Recensione di: Susan G , ottobre 2016

8 to 9 mile hike!

Recensione di: DUNNAnGALL , settembre 2016

Not clear on distance of hike. Not clear on duration/end point. Guide not focused on keeping track of group 23 perhaps too many for one guide.

this was good

Recensione di: Carisa C , luglio 2016

We had a great time in Howth. However, when booking this trip we did not realize that the walking tour would be more of a hike. Be sure to wear shoes to hike in that can get muddy. Overall, we had a good experience and our guide John was incredible.

Recensione di: Tracey M , giugno 2016

Eoin our tour guide was fantastic, funny and knowledgeable about all sorts of things including Howth and Dublin facts. With a bit of fog it was a magical trip! We walked 12-13kms part coastal path and part inland to get great views across to the castle and Dublin Bay. It is a bit hilly in parts and a little rough under foot, so best for people who are used to walking. Breaks for both toilet and snacks along the way. High Recommend.

Superbe journée mais dommage que ça ne soit qu'en anglais ou espagnole ...

Recensione di: Tracy B , luglio 2015

This day trip is billed as take a train ride and then a leisurely stroll through the hills. That is not true. This is a serious uphill climb and is not for the weak, frail or the out of shape. I was totally unprepared for the level of exertion required to complete this tour. You start out with a hill. Then another. Then there are about 50 steep steps carved into the cliff. Then the rest of the cliff is uphill. If you are not in good shape, do not do this with a tour group. Do it on your own because the group is usually under a time constraint.

Outside of that, it was very worthwhile. Beautiful scenery, interesting wildlife, good food at the pub, even some seals at the end. My guide was quite knowledgeable about the area and Irish history and mythology.

I should have read the reviews. I did not expect to need hiking boots, I did not expect to have to walk on a rocky path, with few breaks to take pictures of the beautiful views. The tour guide told us about an island in the distance that was full of wombats. I looked it up later because I love wombats...the island has wallabies, not wombats.
