You will start your tour by visiting The Pyramids of Giza. The Royal Necropolis of the Kings of the 4th dynasty, (c. 2580 – c. 2520 BCE). On the Giza plateau three main pyramids were built; the pyramid of Khufu (Cheops), the Pyramid of Khafre (Chephren) and the Pyramid of Menkaure (Mycerinus). A father, son and grandson built the 3 pyramids to keep their mummies, personal possessions, pits that contained wooden boats to sail in the underworld, minor pyramids for their wives and daughters, hundreds of Mastaba-tombs for their high officials and family members and the famous Sphinx with a body of a lion and a head of a philosopher king, sculptured to protect the area.

Then proceed to The Egyptian Museum, built in 1901 in down town Cairo, by Khedive Abbas Helmi II, and at the façade of the museum he left the first two initials of his name A&H to remind us of this history. With the help of great Egyptologists, Petri, Marriete, Maspero, this museum became one of the largest museums in the world, with a collection of more than 120 thousand pieces. The museum overlooks a very famous square, originally was called "Ismaileya" square, then the name was changed to "Al Tahrir Square", which means the Liberation Square which witnessed the Egyptian revolution at 25th January 2011, and its second wave at 30th June 2013. The museum has 2 floors, in the first floor the artefacts are organized in a chronological order; the second floor has the marvellous collection of King Tutankhamen including his jewelery, coffin, and his famous mask.

After Museum visit you will be having lunch at Local Restaurant down town.

After lunch you will continue on the tour by visiting Khan El Khalili Bazaar. This Khan/Souq/Market is nowadays in the exact location of graveyard built for the Fatimids Caliphs. Included in a palace built for the first Fatimid Caliph "Al Moez", by his devoted army general , "Gawhar el Siqilli", or Gawhar the Sicilian (969 CE). Gawhar with his Fatimid army marched to Egypt from the West, which is nowadays known as Tunisia. They defeated the rulers of Egypt at that time and ordered the construction of the New City of Cairo to be the capital and seat of his master "Al Moez". After the end of the Fatimid rule, the graveyard was cleared and a market place was built on top, by a Mamluk prince called el Khalili, who gave his name to the Khan/Market. It's a great experience, you'll be walking through narrow allays with shops on sides, selling copperware, leather, spices and many other local crafts. local Café's where you can enjoy the famous Turkish coffee, mint tea and pomegranate juice, in one of these Cafés, an Egyptian novelist, called Naguib Mahfouz, wrote his famous trilogy, and won the Nobel Prize in Literature.

End of the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel
