This could have been a great tour but we had a poor guide who did not give enough info on the sights we were going to see and simple things like what time and when to meet after lunch. The group was too big and they skipped 2 of the places we were supposed to visit. At the end they dropped us off at a different spot which was about a 30 min. walk to the city center

A moving experience. Tyne Cot and Menin Gate will always be remembered.

The only problem was the directions provided were to meet the bus at 10.15 am at Brudge were incorrect. We had to ask locals were the likely pick up point would be. The bus / coach terminal outside the city. The guide was excellent but the bus was an hour late. The tour was good value for money from Bruges. Thank you

Our guide was very knowledgeable and willing to make minor changes to the emphasis based on who was in the group. In our instance, there were a significant number of Canadians and he customized his information slightly to suit us. Any questions that we asked were addressed seriously and he did a great job of interpreting what we were trying to get at. In a number of cases, our guide pointed out things during our walking around that we would have never noticed if he hadn't been there. A very worthwhile experience!

A really interesting full day with lots of stops at places of interest. Tour guide Diederick was very knowledgeable. Two negatives: the bus was very late picking us up in the morning, nearly an hour late and also because there were 47 people it took a long time getting everyone on and off at the many stops.

Bus driver and guide were excellent,
Though the bus was 1/2 hour late.
We were able to find our gt Uncle at the Menin Gate and witness the Last Post.
There were no hotel pickups !
No Cheese Factory, though we did have a plough mans sandwich available. Buy your own drinks.
We expected to be dropped at pickup point, but told at last minute we would be dropped at Cental Station.
And perhaps could get taxi back to our hotel, though we hadn't budgeted for this, so we walked in the dark,
Luckily we knew the way.

I would recommend the tour,,,but clarify details first.

An outstanding tour with a knowledgeable experienced guide. The Menin Gate experience was moving and memorable. Each place we visited brought home the reality of war and its aftermath through the stories, historical detail and clarity of explanation provided by the guide. The enormous loss of life was telling.

Extremely knowledgeable guide - comfortable coach - timings just right so you weren't rushed or hanging around.

I would definitely recommend this very moving tour despite a few hitches on the way. No buses allowed in Bruges so quite a long walk to the bus station, no hotel pick ups. The bus picks up first in Brussels so is often late arriving. The guide was very knowledgeable and passionate however we could have done without the digs at us British both for our wrong decisions during the war and more recently with Brexit. It is a very very long trip, with no toilet stops or refreshment breaks for the first two hours till arriving at Ypres after visiting several cemeteries. The lunch is not as described, just slices of shop bought bread with processed square cheese slices to make your own sandwich, no drink, no dessert. I would rather just be given the time to find our own snack. It would have been nice to have the chance to walk in the trenches but our guide decided we didn't want to so just went on long walk above them. The attention to detail to passengers wishing to find certain graves was good, as was the tip on where and when to be at Menin gate.

Tour was good with excellent and knowledgeable commentary along the way. Initial pickup was confusing and a bit stressful due to the temporary closure of the normal pickup point in Brugge. Would recommend to those with an interest in how our soldiers suffered in the 1914-1918 war.
