Do this on your first day in town. Ride the full two hour cycle and then start over, hopping off and on wherever you want to spend time.

Hop-on-hop off bus is a great way to get a quick overview of the City and begin to understand the history of the City, specifically the French Quarters, Central Business District, and Garden Area.

Excellent, easy way to catch some of the highlights. After riding it, we were able to make our decision on which places we wished to return to and see in depth.

This is a great way to see New Orleans, especially if you are short on time. The people that work there are great. Daniel did an incredible job of getting us situated prior to getting on the bus and the guide was fantastic (guy with a beard and glasses, sorry, I can't remember his name). Great value and great recommendations provided by the staff!

We enjoyed the tour. Only negatives is the bus did not have good AC...we were sweating on the bus, but not as much as we were outside :) and I wish the walking tours were earlier and the bus ran later.

This is a good way to get an overall tour of the area. It's about 2 hours round trip with 17 or 18 stops I believe. One thing I will note is not all of the tour guides are of the same quality. Some were definitely better than others. I would suggest riding multiple times if you want to learn more since each tour guide would point out different things meaning no two tours were every the same even though the route was. Most of the tour guides didn't harass you about tips though the first one I encountered literally brought it up every 30 seconds which was a bit of a turn off seeing as I had paid a lot for the 3 day ticket in the first place and when she wasn't talking about tips she was just talking to people around her instead of pointing out much. Again this wasn't every guide! The 3 day tour package also came with some discounts and 3 free walking tours that I unfortunately didn't have enough time to utilize. Part of our tour was also cut short since a large section of it was closed for construction and on another day a large portion of the french district was closed due to a festival. It would have been nice to know that when I got on at the main terminal but it wasn't mentioned until far into the tour. One thing I wish this tour did differently was slow down or at least briefly stop in front of things they are pointing out. Too often the guide would point to something for everyone to look at as we literally sped by it and barely got to see what they were pointing at which was a bit frustrating. I get they are in traffic but slowing down just a tad for 3-4 seconds would have helped. If you don't buy your ticket online it's incredibly confusing as to how to get a ticket as well. The driver spent a lot of time explaining to people how to do this at nearly every stop it seemed. Something I think they could at least do better on.... Overall still glad I did the tour but if I went to NOLA again, I think I would do the 3 trollies instead to get around.

We bought the 3 day pass. Well worth to . We got in early and rode around learning the city until our room was ready. We used the other two days to do the included walking tours and get basic transport which we enhanced with a couple of RTA Jazzy passes.
We were first time visitors to NOLA and arrived early AM. We were booked in an AirBNB and were at a loss as to what to do with our luggage until check in. Just a recommendation, if you set up luggage storage at the main depot and give out that address so we could use with Lyft or Uber to get there it would be great. I used a new service, BagBnB, that charged me 6 to leave my bag at a participating shop in the French Quarter. This worked out great but I had to coordinate getting there and back to get my bag on day 1. It would have been easier to stop and store at your main depot.

Of course, I had a very fantastic time in New Orleans. I grew up going there every summer and every Christmas so that my Mom could see her Mom, siblings and other relatives. When I go to New Orleans, I stock up on the things I need to make my Gumbo, Jambalaya and Etoufee'. My niece and I enjoyed the Quarters, the market, music at Congo Square. Had fun buying art, took a horse and buggy ride. The Hop on Bus is great, no worries about parking, driving or getting lost. Great shopping on Canal St, Magazine St. and Royal St. I even love the names of the streets in New Orleans, Treasure Street, Pleasure Street, Diamond, Music St. and Humanity. One of a kind city and my 2nd home.
