When you receive an email, be sure that you respond to confirm you trip. We didn't, and I got the impression that we almost missed our trip because of it. Transport was ok, but not impressive. An SUV pulled up with a magnetic company logo. The driver made sure we were the right people for him to pick up, and let us hop in. He never really spoke to us and didn't play any music, so the ride was a bit awkward.
When we got there, we just sort of sat on a bench on the beach for a few minutes until we were ready to go. We hopped on a speed boat that took us to our parasailing. The person operating the speedboat didn't speak very much english, but got us to the right place. We got onto the boat for parasailing and had a great view. The guides there were great. We finished the parasailing and got back on the speed boat to get to our next location.
The next boat was much larger and we met up with about 20 other people. We snorkeled for about 40-45 minutes.Life vests were provided for people that needed them. Again, this was a great view. Carlos was the lead guide on the boat and he had a great personality. He spoke at least 4 different languages and was able to communicate with everyone.
When we finished the snorkeling, the boat took us to a sting ray and shark pool. They don't allow cameras for this part. We got our life jackets and hopped in the water. Then, they grabbed one of the rays and brought them over to show us. They reassured everyone that we wouldn't get stung as the they cut the ray's spikes off. We all lined up against a wall, and the ray started to glide across our backs.
Next, we swam with the sharks who, mostly, tried hiding in the corner. They would swim out of the corner and away from us when we approached. It was a gorgeous view, but might not be great for the humanitarian type.
After finishing with the sharks and rays, we jumped back on the boat and headed for a natural pool. We hung out with about 8-10 other excursions in the natural pool. It was a chance to just hang out and drink. Lots of music, about shoulder high water, drinks still flowing. After 30-45 minutes, we headed back in.
All in all, we got picked up around 145 and returned around 530-545. So,it's a solid 4 hours that you're out on the excursion. It was a little more spring breakish than I'd like, but was solid overall. I would have preferred to save a little bit of money and not sit in the natural pool, but I'm sure there are some people that absolutely loved it.
