Panoramica

Tour was awesome. Sword biter - sorry Theo - was full of entertaining info about Game of Thrones, complete with scene re-enactments. If you’re a nerdy adventurer, this is the tour for you. Ps - it’s pretty funny and unfiltered so don’t bring your tiny kids or your conservative great aunt Mary.

Guide was knowledgeable and fun. Nice combination of Iceland facts with Game of Thrones information.

Two of us took the Game of Thrones Filming Locations Tour from Reykjavik on Tuesday August 21, 2018. Taking a Shuttle form one of the Reykjavik bus stops to the Greyline terminal (where the tour originated) was easy and efficient. The tour bus was almost completely full. Vehicle was comfortable and visibility of countryside through large side windows was excellent. The best part of the experience was our guide, Teodor (exchuse spelling!) who was GOT costumed and offered a running commentary by microphone from the front of the bus the entire day. He had been an extra on the show and shared many personal and informative experiences. LOTS of humor!!! He had us roaring at some of his stories. We made several stops during the day, including for and excellent lunch at a countryside café (the only meal we had in Iceland that one could consider "moderately" priced). The weather was a bit windy with drizzle but everyone was dressed for it. None of the out-of-bus hikes to viewing sites was excessively long or over rough terrain, and Teo kept a vigilant eye on the passengers to be certain no one wondered off. Game of Thrones fan or not, this would be a day well spent for any visitor to Iceland. Thank you, Teo, for making the day so enjoyable.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience on this tour! I would highly recommend doing at the beginning of your trip. Not only did the tour guide give a great overview of the Game of Thrones locations, but also gave us great insight into the Icelandic culture and how locals perceive Iceland.

We spent the day touring a few different filming locations by bus around south-western Iceland. The tour was accompanied by pictures, trivia, and Icelandic history by an Icelandic local. I would totally recommend this tour to anyone!

Amazing guide with info as wonderful as her jokes! Not only did we learn little known facts about our favorite show, but our knowledge of Iceland as a whole increased as well! Our regards to Dee Dee! Valar Dohaeris...

To start this is a LONG tour. Eight hours with three actual shooting locations one is the continental divide a visit to a horse farm horses were in GoT and a couple of additional stops. Getting that out of the way our guide made it very entertaining. At no point did the trip drag or did I regret getting on that bus. Our guide is an extra in Game of Thrones and had great stories from filming the show and other films he worked in. During the time on the bus he would tell his stories and crack jokes all while the beautiful landscape passed by. Like the Game of Thrones itself this tour isn't meant for the young or those easily offend by I'll say salty language.
Although tipping is not a required thing in Iceland I HIGHLY recommend you tip your guide... they make the tour. My husband and I tipped 50 US exchange rate is not your friend. We thought that was a minimum for the entertainment we got for 8 hours.
The bus doesnt have a restroom, but it does have free WiFi that worked fantastic for the entire trip.
