We could have done this tour on our own with a map. The guide, while he was very pleasant, was not very informative.

Great experience! I have learnt many interesting facts about Zurich and Switzerland. I was alone and still tour continued and instead of 2 hours we spent 4 in the city! :

Thank you very much!

We were lucky enough to have a personal tour of Zurich, as nobody else had booked. Our tour guide Lydia was amazing! She had a great knowledge of the city's history and showed us the some of the more well known attractions as well as things we never would have discovered ourselves. Our tour was at 10am the morning after we arrived in Zurich, which was perfect because it orientated us to the city early on. Really enjoyed the walking tour and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Zurich.

This was a great way to visit Zurich - old and new, learn the history, view Lake Zurich and the Limmat River and enjoy a lovely walk around the town. It's about a 3-mile walk, but if you are not challenged by walking and a few hills, you won't even realize you've gone that far. The meeting spot at the train station was easy to find, and our guide was prompt. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and she clearly enjoys sharing her town. Our family two adults and 17-yr old son learned a lot and had a great time on the tour. The tour guide was helpful with suggestions of places and activities to try after the tour. We'd highly recommend this tour.

The tour was excellent. Our guide was so knowledgeable and not only described the sites but placed them in a historical context.
We really enjoyed this tour.

A great tour - our tour guide was informative and passionate about the city. Strong knowledge about the history. Only us and one other couple so it made it very personable

Where is the button for six stars?!
I was lucky enough to get a private tour thanks to scheduling my trip on a Monday in the off season, and it turned out to be a fantastic tour for several reasons:
1 My 2 hour tour lasted 3 full hours because I asked so many questions along the away -- no complaints at all!
2 Of those 3 hours, I think we spent a combined total of maybe 2 full hours just laughing and laughing -- it was like we were old friends, even though we just met.
3 My guide was extremely knowledgeable about the Celtic and Roman history of the old city, and the Reformation as well.
4 A fantastically friendly and outgoing personality -- even though I was a foreigner, I was made to feel right at home.
5 I was shocked by how inexpensive the tour was, especially for Switzerland. This could easily be a 50 CHF tour.

Best walking tour ever! Lara clearly loves Zurich - she gave us some incredible history and cultural insight into the town, showed us up and down some neat little walkways, took us to the river, showed us multiple gorgeous views over Zurich, and gave us the option of taking a historic tram back down. It was a lovely way to spend the morning! My friend and I spent the afternoon doubling back over several cute cafes and restaurants Lara recommended - all were amazing! Thanks Lara!

Lydia is a very engaging and knowledgeable guide. Thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hours walking around Zurich whilst learning about its history, architecture and famous citizens. Highly recommended.
